Dosing with Neutron NT

Dose material at three speeds and repeat batches using a saved formula. Neutron NT combines dosing control, automatic in-flight material compensation and container checks, letting you adapt the process to the material, quantity and required accuracy.

Target, progress and dosing stage

One screen shows the current weight, target and remaining quantity, selected formula and cycle. The status bar identifies the dosing stage, while pause and stop controls let the operator intervene.

Key features

Fast, medium and slow dosing

Three dosing speeds allow a fast initial feed followed by progressively reduced flow as the target approaches. The application controls feeding through Neutron outputs and completes the cycle automatically.

Automatic in-flight material compensation

Material still falling into the container after the feed closes is accounted for as in-flight material. Advanced automatic correction algorithms adjust this compensation for accurate dosing across repeated batches.

Cyclic dosing and storage for 1,000 formulas

Save formulas for different materials and target quantities, then reuse them in daily work. Cyclic dosing supports multiple consecutive batches using the selected process.

Automatic tare and container checks

Enable automatic taring and set minimum and maximum permitted tare values. This adds a check that the correct container, bag, cylinder or other packaging has been selected before dosing.

Maximum dosing time

Set the maximum permitted dosing time as an additional process safeguard. The time limit helps constrain an abnormally long cycle.

Pause or stop the process

The operator can pause dosing temporarily or stop it. Process status, weight and cycle data remain clearly visible on the screen.

How it works

Select the formula and container

Select the saved formula, target weight and cycles. Use automatic taring and, where required, minimum and maximum tare checks.

Dose with automatic compensation

Feeding progresses through fast, medium and slow stages. In-flight material compensation accounts for material that reaches the container after the feed closes.

Complete the cycle and retain the record

The application completes the cycle automatically. Repeated batches use cyclic dosing, while results and parameters are available in weighing history.

Example of use

When filling bags with cocoa, select a formula and a 5 kg target. Tare checks help identify the correct empty bag, three speeds and in-flight compensation control feeding, and cycles support subsequent batches.

Choosing a workstation for your process

Define the material, target weight, tolerance, feeding method and packaging type when selecting a solution. Distributors can demonstrate the complete cycle: container checks, taring, three speeds, in-flight compensation and the saved result.

Local operation. Connected data.

The applications run locally on the Neutron NT terminal, so the weighing process does not depend on a continuous internet connection. Measurements are saved automatically to the SD card and, when connected, to Scale Monitor Cloud. The free web application also lets you edit indicator screens, databases, dynamic fields and print layouts.

Weighing history and the details behind each record

Automatic saving and a history view that suits your work

Measurements are saved automatically to the local SD card and, when connected, to Scale Monitor Cloud. Choose which fields appear in the history table and tailor the view to your application, products and daily information needs.

From a table row to the complete record

Open a saved weighing to see all its parameters. A dosing record includes the formula, target, achieved weight, cycle and elapsed time, so you can review the result alongside the settings used to produce it.

Customise the workstation without programming

Use the free Scale Monitor Cloud web application to adapt Neutron NT to your process quickly and easily. Customise the entire indicator screen, create your own databases and dynamic fields, and design receipts or labels.

An indicator screen designed around your process

Use the graphical editor to customise the layout, appearance, buttons and displayed data without programming. Show operators the information they need for the application they are using.

Your own databases, with Excel import

Create product, customer or other databases for your workstation. Import data from Excel or integrate databases with other systems through the REST API to reduce manual re-entry.

Dynamic fields for your process data

Add your own fields, such as batch, work order or an extra identifier. Set the field name, data type and default value, and choose whether an entry is required before saving.

Fully customisable receipts and labels

Use the free Scale Monitor Cloud editor to design POS receipts or packaging labels. Arrange weighing data, text, a logo, barcodes or QR codes and your own dynamic fields.

Add identification, printing and photo capture

Extend the workstation to suit the job: select a product by barcode, identify an operator with RFID, label the packaging or capture a photograph when a weighing is saved.

SM-LP230-E label printer

Label packaging with weight, piece count, product, batch, operator and machine-readable codes. Fully customise the layout in the free Scale Monitor Cloud application.

Wireless barcode reader

Scan a 1D or 2D code to select a product, enter a batch or identify an order. The industrial SM-BS1D2D-IGD connects directly to Neutron NT over Bluetooth.

CS-CAM-SO camera

Capture a photograph when a weighing is saved. Add a visual record of the material, product or packaging to the weight record for later review.

Frequently asked questions

How many dosing speeds are available?

The application supports fast, medium and slow dosing, with automatic in-flight material compensation and cyclic dosing.

How can I check the correct container is in place?

Enable automatic taring and define minimum and maximum permitted tare values to add a check for the selected container, bag, cylinder or other packaging.

Can dosing be paused or stopped?

Yes. The operator can pause the process temporarily or stop it. A maximum dosing time can also be configured as an additional safeguard.
